Bockhorst appointed chief operating officer of Badger Meter
Badger Meter has appointed Kenneth C. Bockhorst to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief operating officer. He brings more than 20 years' experience to global operations management, most recently serving as executive vice president of the energy segment of Actuant Corp.

U.S. Water acquires Tonka Water
Tonka Water has joined the U.S. Water family, allowing it to expand its integrated water treatment offerings and applications. U.S. Water, with headquarters in St. Michael, Minnesota, serves a mix of over 4,800 industrial customers.

JWC’s Wipes Ready Grinders get WEF award
JWC Environmental recently was awarded the Innovative Technology Award by the Water Environment Federation for its Wipes Ready Technologies. The grinder technology, available exclusively on the company’s Muffin Monster and Channel Monster products, aims to help combat the problems caused by disposable wipes products.

Singer added to sales team with two new hires
Singer has added Roger Hahn to the position of western USA sales manager and Bryan Cole as the central USA sales manager. Hahn brings more than 30 years' water industry sales experience and Cole brings 12 years' technical sales experience in the valve and manufacturing industry.

Hach opens research and development facility and celebrates anniversary
Hach recently opened a new research and development facility, expanding its Loveland campus by more than 90,000 square feet. The new building houses workspace for development teams and includes multiple testing and research labs. The company also marks its 70th anniverary in 2017. The company was founded in 1947 by Clifford and Kitty Hach.

Winrock publishes guide to conservation programs
Winrock International recently announced the publication of Pay-For-Performance Conservation: A How-To Guide, a free comprehensive guide to implementing and managing Pay-For-Performance (PFP) conservation programs. The guide is based on Winrock’s decade of experience pioneering PFP conservation, including the Milwaukee River Pay-For-Performance Project, which reduced phosphorus losses by as much as 40 percent from farms in the West Branch of the Milwaukee River Watershed.

Water district holds volunteer recognition awards
The Santa Clara Valley (California) Water District recently presented awards to volunteers who have gone above and beyond the mark in helping to keep the area’s local waterways clean. The water district hosted the inaugural event to honor and recognize the countless volunteers and site coordinators that contribute their personal time, energy and talents to improve the quality of life for the Santa Clara Valley community and its local waterways.
